Carlos started LSA Training with one core belief: soccer is one of the best tools out there for building real character. Sure, winning is fun, but what really sticks with a kid long-term is the stuff that happens off the ball — discipline, confidence, resilience, knowing how to be a good teammate. That’s the whole foundation LSA is built on, and it’s what eventually grew into Next Touch Performance Center and LSA FC.

Carlos came up through the FC Dallas Academy, training alongside some of the best young talent in the region, before playing college ball at Dallas Baptist University. That experience taught him a lot about what it actually takes to develop as a player — not just the technical side, but the mental and personal side too. It’s the same standard he holds every player to at LSA.

Outside of coaching, Carlos is a proud dad of two and, as anyone who’s talked to him for more than five minutes probably knows, a diehard Messi fan. That same passion for the game shows up in every session he runs and every conversation he has with parents and players at Next Touch.
